BURBANK, CA — Muir football asserted their dominance, powering past the Burbank Bulldogs 58-28 on Friday night to remain undefeated in Pacific League play.


Muir's offense was electric, led by quarterback Trey Gamble, who delivered a masterful night, throwing for 297 yards and four touchdowns on 16 of 22 passing. Gamble's top target, Alijah Smith, racked up two scores and 147 receiving yards, with Deveon Blaylock also cruising past the 100-yard mark.


The Mustangs built an insurmountable 35-14 halftime lead after exploding for 21 points in the second quarter. Though Burbank mounted a brief third-quarter push, Muir's defense clamped down, securing the victory with a shutout performance in the final frame.

Now 4-1 overall and  2-0 in the the Pacific League, the Mustangs face another test next Friday, October 3 as they travel to Crescenta Valley. The Falcons are coming off a big win over Hoover49-26.
